Gulin finds joy in leading and inspiring teams towards a shared vision, through engaging multiple partners, crafting a strategic vision, setting targets and defining the roadmap for transformation. During her role as the Head of Sustainability at ATOLYE, a B-Corp and a member of the kyu Collective, her work helped public and private institution leaders solve complex challenges through the lenses of systems design and multi-stakeholder engagement. She has been a part of the climate action movement in the Middle East, with a specific focus on the UAE and KSA, while building bridges through international Partnerships.

Her work with leading regional institutions such as the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment of the UAE and Dubai Future Foundation spans multiple sectors that contribute to sustainable development such as education, healthcare and food. She developed the roadmap for the Federal government of the UAE to reduce food loss and waste through technology solutions, policy and regulatory frameworks, behavior change interventions and sectoral collaboration. She conducted a comprehensive analysis of the UAE’s past and current sustainability programs and guided the development of future initiatives.

Her work does not only engage leaders, but also individuals through public behavior change interventions and community level engagements. She supported the development of the “Community-Powered Regeneration” that was applied as different iterations during Dutch Design Week, COP28 and several gatherings in UAE.

Before her role as the Head of Sustainability at ATOLYE, she spent several years as a consultant and change agent leading functional teams in multiple sectors to accelerate sustainable transformation. She founded ZERO, the first circular innovation consultancy in Turkey, where she worked collaboratively with designers, engineers and the sector to accelerate the adoption of circular design practices and design out waste through
innovation.

Passionate about accelerating finance flows into the transformation to a regenerative economy, she has been mentoring climate technology startup founders to perfect their product market fits and go to market strategies. She has been a speaker about accelerating systemic change and emerging solutions for climate action on multiple global platforms such as Harvard Business Review Turkey Sustainability Summit, Business of Purpose and Dubai Design Week.
