Fritz Lietsch

For more than 35 years Fritz has been a committed representative of sustainable management. He is known for his resourceful expertise and deep knowledge of sustainable economies, CSR, biodiversity, green building, and eco-marketing.
Fritz was already chief editor for several B2B and B2C magazines while studying business management and market and advertising psychology between 1980 and 1985. During this time he also led an advertising agency and issued an innovation study about Clean Technologies on behalf of the European Commission in Brussels.
He was a true pioneer of the ecology movement, co-founding the ALTOP publishing and sales company for eco-friendly products in Munich in 1985, of which he is now the CEO. In 1986, he released the first edition of the “Alternative Yellow Pages”, providing a complete market overview of ecologically sound products and services.
In 1997, Fritz began to build up the internal portal ECO-World.de, which has since established itself as a leading information provider on the topics of ecology, economy, and economic sustainability. To this day it is one of the most comprehensive databases in the industry and is the umbrella organization for many other sustainability forums.
In 1997 Fritz was the initiator, chief, and host of the radio show Grunstreifen (greenbelt) on Radio LORA. In 2007, he founded the sustainability portal www.forum-csr.net, together with the magazine forum “Nachhaltig Wirtschaften”.
The magazine has since been published quarterly and has become the leading medium for sustainable business and corporate responsibility in Germany, with an English-language edition now available.
Fritz has written numerous books and articles. He works as a consultant, anchorman, and lecturer on topics including eco-marketing, LOHAS, CSR, responsibility for the future, biodiversity, e-mobility, and sustainability in every eco-relevant environment.
As one of the leading figures in the field of sustainability in Germany, Fritz is committed and passionate about implementing his vision for a change in social values. He was one of the first to recognize the essential need for sustainable economies, understanding the necessity in shaping the future through ecologically sound decisions.
In 2010 he was awarded the prestigious B.A.U.M. Environmental Prize for his services to the development of sustainable economic approaches.
