Natura, Latin America’s largest beauty company, has been a partner of NOW Partners Foundation since they collaborated in creating and strengthening sustainable business alliances across Latin America. Natura is highly respected for its social and environmental commitment and initiatives, including funding and buying from agroforestry cooperatives for its value chain of Amazon forestry products.

Natura is now collaborating with NOW and GA to assess the financing needs of these cooperatives and to create a blended finance fund that NOW would offer to international impact investors.

Farm workers who will operate the land, will co-create a cooperative that has the opportunity to buy the land from the investors, supporting the farm workers to become land owners. By the time they assume ownership of the land, the growth of cocoa and various varieties of trees will have entered the period of their productive prime. This means that the farmer workers will own land that generates attractive income and develops their asset base.
